What really saddens me is that this has become so popular. Look past the ignorance of the white man, look past the disrespect and look past the misconception.

This is the true beauty of Afghanistan, my home country.

These are only some examples of the true beauty of Afghanistan. What you see above is simply the result of the western imperialism, western intervention in places that the west has no right to be.

A message to the (mostly US) outside forces “working” to better a country whose destruction is significantly at the hands of those who are “helping” it: get out.

Frisky animals

Except early spay/neuters are very bad for the animals. It interferes with their growth, especially in large breed dogs, and can lead to serious problems including joint issues (such as hip dysplasia) and a vastly increased risk of certain cancers later in life. Ideally animals should not be fixed until they have fully done growing.
A responsible owner should be able to prevent their animal getting pregnant until they are fixed. In fact, in much of continental Europe spay/neutering is extremely rare among pet owners and yet there is zero pet overpopulation problems in those countries because owners are responsible enough to prevent their animals from breeding. There’s even some data to suggest that dogs in these countries also live longer as a result of not being fixed!
Spay/neutering is not the be all and end all of responsible pet ownership and it’s perfectly possible to keep an intact dog without them breeding. Early spay/neutering is certainly not responsible ownership unless medically necessary and causes far more problems for the individual animal then it prevents.

can I have a link/source for that information? It’s the frist i’ve ever heard of it in my many years of pet ownership and now I’m really worried because we had a puppy who died of hip dysplasia, which we attributed to her poor breeding (puppy mill rescue) and I hate think it had something to do with her spaying and to accidentally hurt a future animal

Today’s picture for invisible illness is a personal one. This is one of about 30 notes that my friend has received since using her handicapped placard. I’m going to say this to you, have you ever seen someone get out of a car parked in a handicapped space and said to yourself “they look too young or they don’t look disabled.” I’m going to go with yes you have, because we all have at one time. I can’t remember doing it, but before I understood the difficulties of invisible illness when I was younger I probably did. Let me ask you this though, when you had that thought was it because you knew with 100% certainty that they weren’t handicapped or did you assume that because of their age and/or not seeing a cane, walker or wheelchair? All I’m asking is that we stop and think when we someone need a mobility aid, park in a handicapped space or say they are disabled that we remember this “DISABILITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE OR APPEARNACE.” #spoonie #invisibleillness #disability #chronicillness #rheumatoidarthritis #lupus #fibromyalgia #myofascialpainsyndrome

If nothing else, this post needs to be seen around the internet more. This harassment is not okay and no one should have to deal with it on top of having an invisible illness. This is just another form of anonymous bullying to add to the internet bullying these TROLLS are capable of.
If you are healthy, please reblog. If you are sick, please reblog. If you have a disability, please reblog. If you have an invisible illness, please reblog. If you know someone with a disability, please reblog. If you are a human being, please reblog.Let’s spread the word and help those of us that may not look like it.
Ignorance isn’t bliss, ignorance is ignorance.

Simple rule: if someone has a valid disability pass, then don’t harass them. Don’t care if they don’t fit the FLAWED societal perception of ‘disabled’. The motor registry and doctors have made the decision that yes this person needs this and have granted that pass to that person. That needs to be respected.
Don’t harass, heckle or leave notes on VALID passes!! A VALID PASS is basically a pass like the above with an in-date expiry date.
Simple as that! If its in date and displayed fully, then thats it. End of story. No ifs. No buts. Leave people like the OP alone. We go through enough.
Flip side: if you do not qualify or own a pass do not park in a disabled spot. In a lot of places it is actually illegal and you may face heavy fines.

I feel so sorry for the OP and to anyone else who deals with this casual ableism on a normal basis. :( When I worked at a grocery store I heard this all the time - from EMPLOYEES, no less - and it’s sickening.

11 ways to solve rape better than nail polish

The more we depend on women to prevent rape, the easier it is to blame them when it happens to them. Here’s a look at the well-documented ways we can actually stop rape. Maybe it’s time we invest a little more time and resources into implementing them before we send gallons of nail polish to colleges across the country.

Read the full list | Follow micdotcom

I’ve known too many women to be raped, had nurses and liaison officers tell them that they had enough evidence, and then the police do fuck all to the rapist and let him walk free and continue his life as normal while the victim has to struggle every day to cope with the shit they put them through.

This has happened to too many women I love. Way too fucking many.

One person I know who was raped, the police even found CCTV footage of the actual incident, but apparently that wasn’t enough to convict him either.

Think about that.

Donald Andrews Jr. A Black man  and Business Owner from New York was cleared just last April After being Arrested on Drugs Charges in Scotia, New York.    Police were “suspicious” of Donald Andrews Jr.’s store, which sells incense and smoking paraphernalia, and sent undercover informants several times in March. In one of the informants visits he is seen on Andrews hidden camera planting Crack Cocaine on the counter in Andrews Store.

Andrews was arrested in April  2013 and cleared only after he asked a Grand Jury to watch the surveillance footage from his store. The informant used a cellphone photo he took of the planted drugs as evidence that Andrews was dealing, leading to his arrest.

*YES THIS IS FUCKING REAL LOOK IT UP*

The police claim that the informant has now “fled” and they haven’t found his whereabouts. The sheriff “claims” his investigators didn’t purposely framed Andrews and have the “informant” out to be some rogue agent.

FYI this same “informant” has lead to seven other drug-related arrests the Report says.

Sounds like a Movie right? But yall still out here calling people “conspiracy theorists”.

Andrews is now in the process of suing NYPD.

Nice! Stick I too em.

Police planting crack to lock up Black people is no conspiracy theory. It’s American History (1980-present).
